At the 2026 Piper Fly-In<\/strong> there will not only be shiny wings and the smell of AVGAS in the air, but also the aroma of fresh coffee and rolls! For the first time, the young pilots of the LSV Albatros Gammelsdorf e.V.<\/strong> are organizing a wholesome and energizing breakfast for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They demonstrate that team spirit is just as important on the ground as it is in the air. The young people take over the entire organization this weekend\u2014from setting up and serving to cleaning up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Who's the crew<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our youth group at LSV Albatros currently consists of 14 motivated young members. Here they learn everything about flying\u2014from aircraft towing and maintenance to taking on responsibility in club life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many are in the middle of their glider training, dream of their first solo or their own pilot's license. But what they all have in common is the fun of making a difference together.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Time & Location:

On Saturday and Sunday, we'll organize a breakfast buffet for you right at the Flieger-Stadl's hangar. We'll make sure that all participants get off to a pleasant start to the day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

What to expect:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Look forward to a hearty and satisfying buffet, hot coffee, and good conversation about the world's most enjoyable hobby before returning to the cockpit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

What we'll use the proceeds for: Our goals for 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This means that every cup of coffee and every croissant contributes to the future of young aviators. The proceeds and any donations go directly toward training our young pilots and funding our projects. As our group continues to grow, we have three major goals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The youth recreation room<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part of the proceeds will go toward setting up our own much-needed youth center, so that we also have a home on the ground.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Season aircraft sponsorship<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We want to enable our young pilots to gain more cross-country flying experience. We have therefore applied to the LVB for a training aircraft for 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Every euro helps us to keep training and club life alive and to pass on the joy of flying to the next generation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
